The band's most recent LP is called Dancethink LP and I am surely biased as to how good I think it is because I saw them in concert first... and that was simply hip-quaking.
My Dear Disco came through Raleigh on Oct. 11th, touring with How I Became the Bomb. My roommate knew a few of the Disco Kids from our days in Ann Arbor, so we went to dinner with the few members of the band that weren't going back to their van to eat chips and salsa. We offered up our house to them as a landing pad, and ended up housing the entire burgeoning colony of How I Became the Bomb and the drummer from My Dear Disco.
You can download Dancethink LP for a name-your-amount price. It's just like looking at your piggy bank and asking "You wanna do this, or what?"
Album Review: After the first listen, I broadcast an initial hoof up from the piggy bank. The more I listen, the more I am convinced that My Dear Disco could make the absolute best porn music ever. Imagine that Steven Spielberg signed on to do a remake of XXX and needed a soundtrack: he would immediately employ My Dear Disco. The biggest compliment I can pay the band is that I think the label they apply to themselves is correct; DanceThink translates into "all I can Think about is Dance." The beats bring my feet to tapping faster than a Nickleback songs brings me suicidal thoughts.
